The idea came to Pedro Schmidt (Founder & CEO) the morning after partying with friends when he went to a pharmacy to find a product that accelerated the body's recovery by «reloading» with natural ingredients that are required in the process. OTC painkillers that have been used for over 100 years to treat hangovers hide the symptoms but do not help the body with the damage in any way. Pedro was surprised not to find a single product that suited his purpose. So, without further ado, putting his degree in pharmaceutical sciences from ETH Zurich to the test, he set about developing a product himself.
After five years of research and product development, the KA-EX® formula was ready, and the scientific innovation was filed for patent worldwide.

Is KA-EX® on the doping list?
With the mainstream success of KA-EX®, athletes discovered the recovery benefits also after their workouts. From physical exertion, also athletes suffer from micro-inflammations, over-acidity from lactic acid, an elevated stress-hormone level, and low sleep quality. It was early 2020 when the first professional athlete approached our company asking if KA-EX® was banned from doping, as he had great experiences and plans to include it in his training routine. After verifying that it was not, more professional athletes started to use KA-EX®, and only a few months after, FC Zürich made it available to their players, later also FC Basel. Before we knew it, KA-EX® became the official recovery drink of several German Bundesliga-Clubs, Alfa-Romeo Sauber Formula 1 Team, and over 1000 professional athletes.
Reached the Goals from First Conda Campaign in 2022 - This is now the last
In April 2022, we were one of the first projects to raise with Conda, with the goal of kickstarting our expansion in Europe, the UK, and the USA. We managed to do so, and thanks to the Conda Investment, KA-EX® became available in several European countries and the UK in the summer of 2022. In November 2022, KA-EX® launched in the USA. As reported by the media, KA-EX® even became an official supplier of upcoming NFL stars in January 2023!
For the launch of our new «KA-EX® GO» Product, we need working capital to produce the next batch. Based on the excellent experience from last year's Conda Campaign, we decided to repeat the crowd-investment one last time.

David Guntern has more than 20 years of advertising experience in large Swiss creative agencies (MRB, Werbeanstalt Zürich) and worked on high-profile campaigns (Heineken, Mazda, others). Before joining ph. AG, he founded a company specializing in E-marketing, whose clients include BMW.
William is the CEO of MAREIN AG, a distribution company with 80 employees, 30.000 different items and 40 years of business. William joined ph. AG in November 2016 as a Co-Founder. AG. As the main investor, MAREIN is responsible for all logistics and distribution of KA-EX® in Switzerland and the EU, offering ph. AG a fully scalable and cost-effective distribution network.
Matthias worked for 13 years as a CFO at Givaudan and as a Divisional CFO for Roche Vitamins during the takeover by DSM.
Mauro works as a senior private equity manager at Woodman Asset Management.
Andreas led Lindt's initial expansion in Australia, growing its sales from $0 to $85 million. Later, as CEO of North America, he was responsible for Lindt USA, Canada, and Ghirardelli (52% of Lindt's global business, i.e., $1.8 billion in sales, six factories, 5,850 employees)
